Our path to Net Zero Carbon
In line with PPN 06/21, our Carbon Reduction Plan targets net zero carbon for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, and addresses the broader challenge of Scope 3 emissions by 2050. complex but we are focused on finding the solutions, collaborating across our value chain and delivering on our emissions reduction targets.
Ready for new challenges and future demands
As new technologies, knowledge and standards emerge, we keep abreast of evolving regulations by actively engaging in industry thought leadership. Our participation includes membership of the UK Green Building Council and collaborations with clients on initiatives such as the City of London’s Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce. This proactive approach ensures we remain prepared for the latest challenges and regulatory demands, driving sustainable practices across all our projects.
Going beyond Biodiversity Net Gain
In addition to meeting statutory biodiversity net gain requirements, we are implementing the Homes for Nature commitment across all our sites. As part of this initiative, we are incorporating Hedgehog Highways and Swift Bricks as a minimum, ensuring that our developments contribute to thriving local ecosystems.
Working together for a greener future
We work closely with our clients to help them achieve their decarbonisation ambitions. Leveraging expert resources, carbon modelling and options appraisal tools, we identify opportunities to optimise both embodied and operational carbon in our projects, aligning with net zero standards such as LETI and accreditations like BREEAM. Our holistic ‘fabric first’ approach reduces energy demand by optimising airtightness, thermal performance, ventilation and heating, providing cost-effective, high-performance solutions with measurable payback.
Accredited to ISO 14001, we enforce responsible construction practices across our supply chain, cutting resource usage, minimising waste and enhancing local biodiversity. Through comprehensive handover, commissioning, and post-occupancy care, we equip our clients with the knowledge and support needed to ensure the long-term sustainability and efficiency of their facilities.
