Continually reviewing our business processes to ensure delivery of the highest health, safety, welfare & environmental standards on-site, the latest in our rolling training programme is focused on our in-house groundworks team.
On 4th July we held a bespoke training course covering the requirements of HSE Guidance HSG47 Avoiding Danger from Underground Services. Eight of our Groundworkers attended the King Offa site in St Albans for a training course presented and developed by Gary Beckley from SHE MANAGEMENT LIMITED, with focus on the risks and safe systems of work when avoiding danger with underground cables. It also covered the requirements for excavation marshals (banksmen) and their duties and outlined various ways of identifying services (such as CAT and Genny, GPR etc.).
