Project Completion – Cochrane Street!
We were pleased to round off the month of June with the successful hand over of another residential project to Westminster City Council. The works at Cochrane Street form part of the council’s Infill Programme, which is focused on making the best use of their existing land to provide new homes for people living and working in Westminster. Neilcott were appointed to demolish seven garages within the existing Wellington Road Estate and undertake the design and construction of two new three-storey townhouses within the garages’ previous footprint.
In-line with Westminster City Council’s Climate Emergency declaration, the new homes have been built to modern highly energy-efficient specifications to achieve Zero Carbon standards. The Neilcott team were instrumental in developing tender specifications to achieve the required performance through:
- Additional PV panels
- Increased wattage of the original PVs shown at planning stage
- Gas fired boilers with flue heat recovery
- Enhanced building fabric u-values
